Taiwan Richardson
Tai Richardson is the Bridgeport Juvenile Probation Office supervisor within the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch. With extensive experience in juvenile justice, Tai plays a critical role in overseeing probation services in Bridgeport, Norwalk, and Danbury and implementing restorative justice practices. He serves on the Juvenile Probation Training Advisory Committee and the Juvenile Probation Policy Committee. Additionally, he is an adjunct facilitator for the branch’s cultural responsiveness initiatives, including Foundations of Cultural Responsiveness and the Color of Justice. Tai is deeply committed to promoting rehabilitation and positive outcomes for youth in the justice system, emphasizing the importance of restorative approaches that focus on healing, accountability, and community engagement. His leadership in the field is further enriched by his academic background in sociology and communications, and he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in organizational leadership and development. Outside of his professional work, Tai serves on various boards dedicated to youth development and community partnerships. He is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated.
