Addressing housing insecurity for low-income Connecticut renters through a movement lawyering model that includes: (1) providing direct representation of tenant unions and their members; (2) facilitating participatory defense meetings and other workshops; (3) providing legal support for collective bargaining and policy advocacy goals; and (4) providing legal, educational, and advocacy support for social housing development.
