Thomas E. Gaffey
Thomas E. Gaffey is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, and the University of Connecticut School of Law. He was admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1980. He has previously served as an assistant clerk of the Connecticut Supreme Court and the Hartford Probate Court. He practiced law in Bloomfield, Connecticut for several years, with an emphasis on probate. He served in the Office of the Probate Court Administrator for twenty-eight years, thirteen of them as Chief Counsel. He retired in September of 2018.
Attorney Gaffey served on various committees of the Connecticut Probate Assembly. He was a member of the advisory committee that developed and revised the Probate Court Rules of Procedure. He was a frequent speaker on probate related issues, and participated in programs for the Connecticut Probate Assembly, the Connecticut Bar Association and the National College of Probate Judges, among other organizations.
Attorney Gaffey was a member of the Estates and Probate and Elder Law sections of the Connecticut Bar Association. He is a James W. Cooper Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation.
