#42 Rule of Law
The Rule of Law: What is it and what should we do with it?
January 19, 2021
5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
On the eve of the inauguration of the 46th President of the United States of America, we are invited as citizens to consider the meaning and importance of the “rule of law”. What is the rule of law? Why does it matter? Is the rule of law under attack by forces within our society? Is it the object of a gradual erosion? How does the rule of law impact our society’s ability to effectuate institutional change? How does the rule of law protect the status quo? Where is the line (if there is one) between respect for the rule of law, and a desire to fundamentally reexamine how it works in practice? We hope you join us for a discussion of these topics and more as the springboard for the development the 2021 Hon. Mark R. Kravitz Symposium on the Administration of Justice.
