#52 Hiring, Training, and Retaining Attorneys in the Post-Covid Legal World: Has the World Changed?

Wednesday, February 26, 2025
5:30 - 7:00 p.m.
via Zoom

The Covid-19 pandemic brought changes to the practice of law that no one had anticipated.  The need for remote work arose overnight and changed not only the way attorneys interact with their colleagues, their clients, and the courts, but also how legal employers hire, train, and retain young lawyers. What are some of these changes, are these changes here for the long term, and how have they impacted the training of the next generation of lawyers?  Is it important for training purposes to be “in the room where [law] happens”?   Do the next generation of lawyers have different goals and values than prior generations of lawyers? If so, how has this affected the hiring, training, and retention of young lawyers?  These and many other questions will be explored by our panelists.
