Shauna Harrington

Shauna began her journey at Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence as the Director of Criminal Legal Advocacy in January 2024. This role oversees the court-based Family Violence Victim Advocate program, providing training, resources, and technical assistance to those advocates. Recently, in December 2024, her role evolved to Director of Legal Advocacy, expanding her responsibilities to also oversee the Pro-Bono Restraining Order Project, the Family Law Legal Consultation Project, and the civil advocacy program. Prior to CCADV, Shauna worked at Safe Futures, one of the CT Coalition’s member agencies, as a court-based victim advocate and the agency’s LAP Coordinator since January 2020. She is certified by the Police Officer Standards and Training Council to teach Domestic Violence to Connecticut’s law enforcement and is one of the statewide LAP trainers, teaching LAP to both law enforcement and victim advocates in a train-the-trainer format. Shauna also enjoys running, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her two labrador retrievers.
